Whether you are part of a multi-national company or a small/medium size business, effective safety management on site makes good common sense and is good business practice. A well managed, organised site is a more productive one.
Safety does not start and stop at the build stage, but must start at the planning stage and follow through to the end user. Buildings must not only be built safely but reduce the risk to those who will have the responsibility for the future maintenance.
ASIS Risk Management can assist at the planning stage with regards to design safety and the logistics of craneage and plant movement and installation. We will question design to ensure that the legacy of risk that remains at hand-over is reduced so far as is reasonably practicable.
Once the build is underway we can attend site to either audit and support the Principal Contractor or focus on areas that you feel need attention, these may include the following:
- Working at Height
- Lifting plans and crane co-ordination
- Permit to Work system
- Accident investigation
- Fire safety
- Safety signage
- Environmental issues etc
We will issue a report which not only highlights our observations but our recommendations, which may place actions upon management.
