Health and Safety Advisory Service

ASIS Risk Management's Health and Safety advisors provide a cost effective range of services.

You can either keep us on an annual retainer for competent advice whenever you need it, or engage us at an hourly rate available for on-site advice (not subject to contract).

We provide the following:

All sectors

  • carry out Health and Safety Inspections;
  • assist in the production or review of the company or project risk register;
  • undertake accident investigations;
  • produce model risk assessments, or site-specific and task-specific risk assessments;
  • produce fire risk assessments and fire emergency plans;
  • carry out fire safety inspections;
  • for SME's produce or review your company Health and Safety Policy;
  • attend management or board meetings to report on health and safety performance and/or to support the health and safety director;

Construction specific

In addition to all sectors

  • for SME's assist in the process of gaining CHAS, Safecontractor, ConstructionLine and similar;
  • advise the client or principal contractor on the plant replacement strategy for new builds and refurbishment projects;
  • provide Lifting Assurance Consultant services;
  • consider and report on the legacy of risk at practical completion.

Health & Social Care specific

In addition to all sectors

  • produce model risk assessments, or site-specific and activity-specific risk assessments for within the care setting and when off-site at activity centres, shopping centres, farms etc;
  • carry out ligature assessments;
  • conduct workplace assessments for work experience or young people;
  • monitor and report on emergency drills.

Facilities Management specific

In addition to all sectors

  • review the competence of contractors that form the approved supply chain;
  • review the plant replacement strategy for the building.

Corporate specific

In addition to all sectors

  • advise on Display Screen Equipment / workstation design;
  • our in-house manual therapist can give guidance, treatment advice and injury management to individuals with musculoskeletal disorders;
  • co-ordinate fire and emergency drills;
  • review the performance of the incumbent facilities management company;
  • provide advice regarding appointing contractors to deliver refurbishment work and new builds.
