CIEH Level 2 'H&S in Health & Social Care'

This qualification is aimed at health workers and social care workers - whether they are in the public sector or private sector.

Participants are taught to spot Health & Safety risks to patients, clients and other staff in their place of work. This includes understanding the effect of your own action or inaction.

The course will include :
  • an introduction to Health and Safety
  • Health and Safety law
  • how to prevent poor health
  • how to prevent accidents
  • the risks that are associated with poor patient or client welfare
  • how to undertake Risk Assessments
  • an introduction to Hygiene
  • how to spot hazards to good hygiene
  • the importance of personal hygiene
  • the importance of good cleaning practices
This training course is usually delivered over one day and finishes with a 30-question multiple choice examination.
